  • Jobs

Economic growth, not deficit spending, is the key to higher wages, more jobs and rising standards of living. Our representatives in Washington must work to attract new companies to Western New York – especially businesses with manufacturing jobs our politicians gave up on years ago.

  • Taxes

Congress must pursue baseline budgeting and the cut, cap and balance approach to all legislation and pass a balanced budget amendment that requires a 60 supermajority to raise taxes. Congress should allow Americans choice: a 15 percent flat tax with no deductions or a simplified tax code that allows a graduated, scaled down system with deductions.

  • Spending

David Bellavia believes Congress must work to cut federal spending deeply. Every department and agency of the federal government must be evaluated for efficiency, effectiveness and necessity – and programs not directly benefiting the taxpayer must be cut. Western New York’s Congressional delegation must also work with fiscal conservatives in the US Congress to lift the crushing burden of debt.

  • Seniors

David does not support any changes to benefits for those in or near retirement. We must reorient our national policies without forcing citizens to reorganize their lives and make our health and retirement security programs not just sustainable, but better – ensuring real security, less waste and access to quality, affordable health care.

  • Environment

David believes we must be good stewards of our environment but he does not agree that Global Warming is an imminent danger. For this reason, he opposes any job-killing tax scheme on industry to offset carbon emissions and wasteful government spending on unworkable new energy solutions.

  • Health Care

David is excited to go to work on President Trump’s push for a better health care system. To reduce rates, we must give patients true free market choices that allow interstate insurance competition. Americans must also be allowed to buy co-operative insurance like major companies.

  • Gun Rights

David Bellavia believes deeply in an individual’s right to bear arms as recognized by the Second Amendment to the US Constitution.

  • Abortion

David is Christian and believes in the inherent dignity and sanctity of all human life. He opposes using public revenues to promote or perform abortion.
